Professor Zhongbo Yu, the director of State Key Laboratory of Hydrology-Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering, Joint International Research Laboratory of Global Change and Water Cycle, Hohai University, China. He also serves as the vice chair of UNESCO Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme, chair of Regional Steering Committee for Asia and Pacific of UNESCO-IHP,  and chair of IAHR Groundwater Committee. His main research contents include air-land-surface/groundwater interaction, surface-soil flow interaction, air-land surface-hydrology coupling model construction, and so on. He has published more than 380 high-quality papers in Water Resources Research, Journal of Hydrology and others, including 281 SCI papers, 5575 citations and 156 citations for single papers, and more than 10 authorized patents for invention. He has presided more than 50 scientific research projects at home and abroad, including the first batch of National Key R & D Program, subprojects of 973, and key program of National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has won 1 second prize of National Advanced Researcher Award in Science and Technology, 7 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards such as Dayu Water Science and Technology Award of the Ministry of Water Resources, and Natural Science Award of Ministry of education. He served as editorial board member and editor of SCI journals, such as Water Resources Research, Hydrology and Earth System Sciences.
