Prof. Lu is Prof. Lu is the director of shoreline protection and green navigation center of Yangtze Institute for conservation and development, Director of River and Harbor Engineering Department of Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute (NHRI), who built the “Eco-protection and waterway regulation technology innovation team” in the key areas of the transportation industry of Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China. He mainly engaged in basic research of theory and application on river and coastal hydrodynamics. He has managed and undertaken more than 50 projects including Major International (Regional) Joint Research Project of the National Natural Science Foundation, National Key Research and Development Program, National Key Basic Research Program (973), provincial and ministerial projects. More than ten representative and innovative research achievements have been made when researched protection and utilization of harbor, waterway and tidal flat of the Yangtze River golden waterway, the Yangtze River Delta, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Caofeidian, Oujiang Estuary and other related projects. Research results have been applied in many projects and great benefits has been made in economic social and environmental area. He has won 4 grand prize and 7 first prizes of provincial and ministerial science and technology awards. Representative publications include 3 monographs and 4 co-authored. More than 150 research papers have been published in domestic and foreign academic journals. 8 National invention patents and 2 software copyrights has been granted.
