Xiaoqiang YangDr., Prof.
Dr. Xiaoqiang Yang conducted his doctoral study at Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research-UFZ in Germany (holds the degree of Dr. rer. nat. from the University of Potsdam). Before join YICODE, Dr. Yang worked as a postdoc at German institutes of IGB (Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries) and UFZ. Dr. Yang’s research focuses on integrations of ecohydrology, hydrodynamics and water quality through both mechanistic modeling and monitoring data analysis. Particularly, he has developed his own models for catchment eco-hydrological and water quality simulations. Dr. Yang has published 17 papers in SCI-indexed journals, including the top-ranking journals of Water Resources Research, Geophysical Research Letters, Water Research, etc. He also serves as a member of the Early-Career-Researcher Board of the journal Hydrological Processes and a reviewer of journals WRR, GRL, Water Research, Journal of Hydrology, advances in Water Resources, etc.
