Dongdong JiaDr., Prof.

Dongdong Jia is a Professor in State Key Laboratory of Hydrology-Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering at Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, where he has been a faculty member since 2010. He completed his Ph.D. study at Tsinghua University between 2005 and 2010. His recent research interests are the interaction between flow, sediment and bed morphology in alluvial rivers and the sedimentation patterns of fine-grained particles in large reservoirs. He investigated the complex mechanisms of riverbank erosion and fluvial processes and training measurements of waterway. He also developed 2-D and 3-D mathematical models for modeling flow velocity, sediment transport and morphological changes in natural rivers.
